What is a mobile loan payment by check?
You no longer need to mail your loan payment check or bring it to the branch! With mobile loan payments, you simply write a check for your loan payment and use your mobile device to deposit the payment directly to your loan!
It’s simple and easy to make a mobile loan payment by check – it’s virtually the same as making a mobile check deposit. And no holds are placed on mobile check payments made directly to your loan.
Important: This functionality is only available using mobile devices.
How will I know if my loan payment by check was accepted?
- A confirmation on the screen will confirm the deposit was accepted.
- The loan balance will be adjusted in mobile and online banking.
What types of loans can I pay with mobile check payment?
- Auto loans
- RV loans (including motorcycle, trailers, and boat loans)
- Visa® credit card payments
- Personal loans
How do I pay a loan by check with the RCU mobile app?
First, write a check to Redwood Credit Union for your exact loan payment amount. Then log in to your RCU account on the mobile app.
From the home screen, select Deposit.
Select the loan account you want to make a payment to.
Enter your payment amount (the amount on your check).
Take a photo of the front and back of your check
- Lay the check on a flat, dark surface and hold the camera parallel to the check.
- Review the check images and confirm.
- Confirm the images are accurate and select Next.
You have the option to add a comment in the memo box.
Tap Deposit to confirm your payment – your loan payment is complete!
